I have been dying to do a photo shoot with someone wearing a flower crown - I was going for this enchanted fairytale look. I always joked with Ashley during the semester that she was the "one" for this session. We both decided that it would be so cool to go to a sunflower field. We found one (or so we thought) & spontaneously drove an hour to this "sunflower field" just in time for the golden hour. On our drive we ran into construction, but of course only on the one road we needed to turn down! We smiled & asked the very nice construction workers if there was any other way to get down that road. I guess there wasn't & before you know it they were moving their trucks to let us through! A few miles down the road (in the middle of no where) Siri says "you have arrived at your destination" to when we look at each other in confusion because...you guessed it...NO sunflower field! This was disappointing at first, but there were plenty of other open fields we passed on the way. So, we turn around and start trying different fields. They all were gated with "Private Property" & "No Trespassing" signs. Then to add to the adventure my gas light comes on in this small town in the middle of no where! (Be mindful we are on a strict time constraint with the sun). I get gas & we pass a gorgeous field with NO fence & NO signs (finally!!)
We hit the golden hour just right & this gallery turned out exactly how I envisioned it! The lighting, the background, the sky...everything was so magical. Also, who else do you know that can rock a flower crown as well as Ashley!?
